Gastroenteritis at the Blue Bay Cayo Coco Cuba
We are reading reports on TripAdvisor suggesting that holiday makers staying at the Blue Bay Cayo Coco in Cay Coco, Cuba, during the month of July 2011 have suffered holiday illness and symptoms of gastroenteritis.
This hotel is promoted by Thomas Cook Holidays among others. The Blue Bay Cayo Coco is an all inclusive 3 star hotel and enjoys a beach-front location. Dining facilities at the hotel include a main buffet restaurant and 3 a la carte restaurants.
Guests have complained that the food is kept at a tepid temperature and is a breeding ground for bacteria as it was left out in the open and exposed to flies. One guest found a dead fly in his food.
