Now Larimar Hotel, Dominican Republic – suspected sickness and e-coli
Holidaymakers have complained on the review website TripAdvisor of holiday illnesses after staying at the Now Larimar in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, during the month of June 2011.
The Now Larimar is promoted by Thomson Worldwide holidays. The Hotel is an all inclusive, 5 star and enjoys an idyllic beachfront location. The Now Larimar consists of 5 restaurants and 1 snack bar and is conveniently located 20 minutes drive from Punta Cana airport.
Holidaymakers have stated that the buffet food was undercooked and cold. Reviews suggest that due to inadequate care with food and poor hygiene practices this has resulted in severe diarrhoea, sickness and E-coli poisoning for some guests.
