Fresh reports of holiday illness at Amwaj Blue Beach Resort & Spa Egypt


Farnworth Rose Solicitors have recently been instructed by a number of holidaymakers who suffered severe and debilitating stomach cramps and diarrhoea whilst staying at the Amwaj Blue Beach Resort & Spa, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, in February 2011. The symptoms described are often attributed to food poisoning. We are told that food was often undercooked and mostly served cold.

Reports on the popular consumer forum site Trip Advisor from holidaymakers who stayed at the hotel towards the end of 2010 and up to February 2011, also talk of the limited choice of food often being served cold, poor standards at the hotel generally, poor maintenance and even open sewers. These reports follow on from a similar outbreak of illness at the resort in November 2010, where at least one person was diagnosed with Salmonella food poisoning.
