We have read reports of holiday illness at the Hilton Sharks Bay in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on internet review site, TripAdvisor.
During August 2011 holidaymakers returning to the UK from the Hilton Sharks Bay in Sharm El Sheikh have complained of suffering symptoms of sickness and diarrhoea, plus stomach cramps.
The hotel is promoted by Thomson and Thomas Cook Holidays, amongst others, and is rated as a 4-star. Restaurant facilities within the Hilton Shark´s Bay include a main buffet restaurant, plus Italian and Bedouin restaurants.
Guests complained that food was bland, repetitive and not cooked properly. Food was also said to be left out and open to contamination from birds, which is thought to be linked to an outbreak of illness amongst guests.
