Reports of Salmonella at Radisson Blu, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
Reports from holidaymakers on the review website TripAdvisor who have stayed at the Radisson Blu Resort, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, during the month of June 2011 are reporting cases of illness amongst guests. 
The Radisson Blu Resort is promoted by Thomas Cook and First Choice Holidays. The hotel is a 4 star all inclusive resort consisting of buffet and specialist restaurants. The Radisson Blu is situated 3 kilometres from the Taba Heights resort. Travellers have complained of lack of hygiene resulting in holiday illnesses. These illnesses consist of sickness and one review suggests that Salmonella food poisoning is present within the hotel which resulted in one holidaymaker curtailing her holiday. On return to the UK it is reported that a salmonella infection was confirmed.
Travellers returning from the Radisson Blu Resort who have experienced sickness should seek treatment from their GP as soon as they return home.
