Severe holiday illness at Tropitel Naama Bay Sharm El Sheikh Egypt
We are reading reports on TripAdvisor suggesting that holiday makers staying at the Tropitel Naama Bay in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, during the month of July 2011 have suffered symptoms of severe diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps.
This hotel is promoted by Thomas Cook Holidays among others. The Tropitel Naama Bay is an all inclusive 3 star hotel and is located 200 metres from its own private beach. The resort consists of a main buffet restaurant and Mexican, Italian and Asian à la carte restaurants.
Holidaymakers have complained of lack of food hygiene as well as food being left out and exposed to bird contamination and flies thought to have caused symptoms of severe diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps.
