Cryptosporidium reports at Flamingo Beach Holiday Village Lanzarote
We have been approached by several holidaymakers who have suffered holiday illness at the Flamingo Beach Holiday Village, Lanzarote in July 2011.
Holidaymakers returning from the resort have suffered symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps. The Flamingo Beach Holiday Village is promoted by First Choice Holidays. Holiday reps at the hotel are said to have described the illness outbreak as simply a ´bug.´
Cryptosporidium has been confirmed as causing illness among several holidaymakers at the resort, which is commonly contracted from swimming pool water or infected food.
