Flamingo Oasis food poisoning Benidorm
Farnworth Rose received reports of Norovirus and food poisoning at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel in Benidorm, in 2009 and 2010. Holidaymakers complained of sickness, diarrhoea and gastroenteritis, and four members of one family were violently ill.
Complaints were made to holiday reps at the 4-star Flamingo Oasis, Benidorm, and victims were told they ´probably got food poisoning from somewhere outside the hotel.´ The Flamingo Oasis is an all-inclusive hotel, and the family who suffered holiday illness stated they only ate in the hotel premises.
Reports were also made about the unhygienic condition of the swimming pool, and children contracted sores and rashes after swimming there. Some holiday reps also suffered sickness and Norovirus at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel, and other families reported gastroenteritis and vomiting during their stay in January, 2010.
A strong smell of sewage was also reported by guests after they flushed toilets and ran water in their bathrooms.
