Holiday illness reported at Holiday Village Costa del Sol Spain
According to reviews on the website, TripAdvisor, guests who have stayed at the Holiday Village in Costa del Sol, Spain during the month of July have complained of suffering holiday illnesses.
The Holiday Village Benalmadena is promoted by First Choice Holidays, and is an all inclusive 4 star hotel with a self catering option, situated 1.3 Kilometres from the main beach of Fuengirola. The hotel has an International buffet restaurant and 2 speciality restaurants - Italian and Mexican. Holidaymakers have complained about contracting stomach bugs and gastroenteritis whilst staying in this hotel.
One guest was hospitalised due to this outbreak and stated that the food was repetitive and the quality of the food regularly fell below reasonable standards. A few of the reports also suggest that the pool and beach club pool was closed on numerous occasions due to faeces being present in the pool.
