Holidaymakers have reported cases of holiday illness and severe diarrhoea and sickness at the Hotel Sol Calas de Mallorca Resort on review site, TripAdvisor. Formerly the Sol Mastines/Chihuahuas Hotel, poor food at the resort is thought to be linked to holiday illness during July, 2011.
The Sol Calas de Mallorca is a 3-star hotel offering all inclusive and half board packages, and catering facilities include a buffet style restaurant and a snack bar. Holidaymakers staying at the hotel complained of food being repetitive, food being served cold and not cooked properly. Poor food and hygiene are thought to have contributed to the cases of holiday illness among guests.
