More claims of sickness at Garden of Sun Hotel Altinkum Turkey

After receiving several complaints from holidaymakers who suffered illness at the Garden of Sun Hotel, Altinkum recently, we have now been contacted by more people who became ill during their holiday at the hotel in July 2011.

Eight out of nine people in one group of holidaymakers staying at the hotel became ill with symptoms of acute stomach cramps and diarrhoea and one guest described their stay as ´the holiday from hell.´ Members of the group also suffered violent sickness and a trip to the water park had to be cancelled with no refund forthcoming. Six of the group had to be treated at a clinic via an intravenous drip. Hotel staff insisted the illness was down to the heat although reports of poor food and hygiene would suggest otherwise.

One member of the group also told us: “Over 100 holidaymakers were ill with similar symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea.”

Another holidaymaker who contacted us said: “We recently returned from the Garden of Sun Hotel in Turkey after spending most of our 10 days holiday in our room with stomach cramps and diarrhoea. The standards of hygiene were very poor and after several problems this had turned out to be the holiday from hell.”
