Salmonella confirmed at Hotel Turquoise, Olu Deniz, Turkey

Farnworth Rose has been instructed by a number of holidaymakers who contracted salmonella whilst staying at the Turquoise Hotel in Olu Deniz, Turkey, during May 2011.

Symptoms of illness started mid way through the holiday and, upon return to the UK, the holidaymakers were diagnosed as having contracted a salmonella infection.

Summer 2011 is the first year that the hotel has operated on an all-inclusive basis and, from reports we are receiving, it would appear that the hotel staff were struggling to cope.  One review on the internet site Trip Advisor stated that the standard and variety of the food was sacrificed to cope with the all-inclusive status.

Further reviews mention food being served lukewarm with specific reference to kebabs, bread rolls kept on the floor and a rat was seen running down the wall of the indoor bar area.
