Mr T of mid Glamorgan, Wales, fell ill during his holiday at the all-inclusive Sierra Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. On his return to the UK, it was confirm that Mr T had contracted Shigella and unfortunately Mr T experienced gastric problems for quite some time after the holiday.
After instructing Farnworth Rose Holiday Illness Claims Solicitors to help him with his claim, Mr T was finally awarded £4,000 compensation by the tour operator, Thomson Holidays.
When asked about the service he received from Farnworth Rose, Mr T said “I found the service outstanding. Anne Thomson was friendly and a pleasure to deal with from the first phone call. Thanks for all your hard work.”
Anne said “Shigella is a nasty infection and unfortunately it is not an uncommon holiday illness in Egypt. Anyone who suffers from symptoms of severe diarrhoea, stomach cramps and vomiting whilst on holiday should seek medical treatment not only in resort but also on return home to the UK.
It is always best to provide a stool sample on return home so that your GP can ensure that any infection is no longer in your system or, if it is, then appropriate treatment can be administered”.If you have been ill at a package holiday hotel in Egypt, contact Anne Thomson, Head of our Holiday Illness Claims Department, at Farnworth Rose on: 080001 54321 or fill in the online claim form.
